★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recommend the nature around the small town much instead of food prepared for tourist.
The air is astonishing fresh and the atmosphere in woods or bamboo is amazing wonderful.
The authentic street is now full of the crowed.
I don't like the noise and the litter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ love this place, They have so many little stores selling you need stuff You can find a lot of souvenirs you can get here. and you can try a lot of different snacks and drinks here. I strongly recommend you to visit this place.. visit to train station too. So much to discover here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice old Street to walk around, although can get crowded at those tiny streets during lunch time which was where we went. Streets remind me of Jiufen and theres the original bento box place as well as many other copies that seem to be equally popular. Nice place to walk around for a quick break after taking the Alishan forest train and before continuing your journey to Alishan.
Point to note though, as this tends to be the transit point for people to go to before heading onward to Alishan, the instructions or directions to take the bus from there was not clear at all and we ended up missing the bus and had to take a private car there. Would be nice if there are clear signs that points people to the direction of where to take this bus.

Toilets are opposite to the entrance. You need to climb up the stair but it’s free.
There are 2 parking areas, one for tour bus, another one for cars, which is usually full on weekend. So, you can park along the road.
