Best Train station in Taiwan

L	LAI ALVIN on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the train rakes 6-7mins, but the price is around NT100 so boring with high price, short time, nothing special views
J	Jeff Tan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Starting station to take you up to the main viewing areas. Train ride is just a 7 minute ride, if you are able to walk and not in a rush, walking up or down would be recommended.
C	Craig's Guided Rail Tours on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Alishan Forest Railway is one of the world's great narrow gauge rail journeys as it climbs from Sea Level to nearly 8000' in just fifty miles. Often very crowded at the top so best to stay a few days to see all the scenery in detail. Cherry Blossom Festival in March/April is particularly busy.
I	Ian Elay on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here in the early morning about 4.20AM to catch the train for Alishan sunrise. Entrance ticket for foreigners is NTD300 & additional NTD100 for your car park. Train ticket to Zhushan station is NTD150 per way and it is pretty expensive though. You could enjoy gorgeous view of Ali Mountain & Yu Mountain from this station. However, the sunrise at Zhushan station is magnificent and it should be worth it for the money. The track is about 6km length and it took 30 minutes to reach to Zhushan station. You can view much in the early train going up before sunrise but alot of forest view when the train goes down.
P	Pang Cheung Sze on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The train station where you can take the Alishan ‘small’ train. There are only two lines and they are less than half hour by foot, but it is worth taking the train just for the experience. The deck at the station is also a decent spot to watch sunset.
D	D D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredibly magical and a must-do at Alishan. Each ticket costs 100 NT for a short 6-8 mins ride within Alishan mountains. You're basically the same level as the clouds so passing through the forests and the clouds makes the whole experience mystical. Loved every min of it.
J	Jeremy Barrowcliffe on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't give this any less than 5 stars. It's a long journey up to Alishan by bus the place is mystical and breathtaking. The railway is part of that wonder. I spent only a day up at Alishan and only a short ride on the railway but it is one of the best experiences of my life. You can imagine the old logging industry, extracting huge hardwoods for export or at least transporting down to the plains. The trees and the forest that the railway winds through is some of the best scenery you can see in Taiwan and only a couple hours from Chaiyi. Some of the little train stations are beautiful and the trains are comfortable. I long for the day I can return to Alishan to see the beautiful trees and the railway that takes you through the forested mountains again.
G	György Adler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This station serves as the gate of the Alishan mountain, however it's a real shame that after many years still no direct connection with Chiayi. The station building and the facilities are quite new and well maintained, there are ticket counters as well as ticket machines, these latter accept credit cards. Due to the lack of trains to and from Chiayi (or any other station outside the park), one can only take trains to Shenmu, Zhaoping and Duigaoyue. Duigaoyue is the sunrise viewing place, the schedule of the trains departing to here are adjusted according to the sunrise time, so consult with the railway's website or this station for exact departure times. To Shenmu and Zhaoping, normally there are several services a day. Tickets cost NT100 to NT150, which I consider a bit high for such short trips (basically the tariff is NT100 per kilometer).
