The former residence of Yin Haiguang is the home of Liu Kunkai (KK), the leading actor in Taiwan drama Tea Gold, in Alley 16, Lane 18, Wenzhou Street. Green and verdant, full of strong literary and academic atmosphere. Mr. Yin Haiguang moved to Taiwan from mainland China in 1949. On the one hand, he taught at the Department of Philosophy of Taipei Imperial University (now National Taiwan University); The spirit of "death with eloquence, and life without silence", using writing to oppose the prohibition of speech and thought, bravely confronting authoritarianism, and criticizing current affairs, is an important inheritor of Chinese liberalism, and has a great influence on the later development of Taiwan's democratic politics. This house is a one-story Japanese-style wooden house with a triangular base that connects with other dormitories around it. The Taipei City Government officially designated the former residence as a municipal monument in May 2003, and it preserves Mr. Yin Haiguang's important cultural assets. In recent years, National Taiwan University has opened the former residence of Yin Haiguang for off-campus teaching. In November 2008, a consortium was appointed to commemorate Mr. Yin Haiguang Academic Foundation for operation and management.

After watching the last episode of the Taiwanese drama Cha Jin, I came to "Yin Haiguang's Former Residence" on Wenzhou Street. The actor Wen Shenghao plays the home of KK. In May 2018, I was walking near Wenzhou Street in Taipei, and accidentally found a house at the bottom of the alley. It is the former residence of Yin Haiguang, one of the pioneers of Taiwan's democratic movement and a liberal thinker. I feel that the crew chose Yin Haiguang's former residence as the hero's home, which deliberately echoes the identity of the hero. Both of them wrote political articles for "Free China". Current politics, the seeds of democracy in Taiwan. Yin Haiguang's former residence is an old one-day house. The building was built using the building materials left over from the demolition of the school police dormitory by Taiwan's father at that time. He dug trenches and pushed the waste land into the mountains. " and "Master Yin's Reading Desk". I don’t know if it’s a messy environment now, there are a lot of mosquitoes in this courtyard now, but I met a mother who was wearing retro clothes for a long time, and I was watching the video to find the angle. I'm already ready to bite, presumably that mother should be a fan of "Tea Gold"!

2022.03 1) Taipei city designated historic site 2) No tickets 3) Business days: Tuesday (Tuesday) ~ (Sunday) After enjoying "Tea Gold", take a tour of one of the 15 scenes that were filmed. There are many old Japanese-style wooden houses in the streets and alleys of Wenzhou. In the past, they were the dormitory areas of the emperor's professors during the Japanese occupation era. Later, they were taken over by National Taiwan University. It is conceivable that this is a place where people gather. Walk along the mottled walls outside the alley into the alley, step into the gate, and begin to enter the history. Looking at the fairly compact wooden house, recalling some of the shooting scenes in Chajin, I can't wait to look around. An administrator in the house very kindly introduced that the wooden house has been replaced except for the pipeline, and everything else is the same. You can really feel the traces of history! In addition, I went to the broadcasting room to read the introduction of Yin Haiguang, a liberal democrat, so I got a better understanding. The garden outside the wooden house, the stone table and the stone chair are well maintained , The trails are also laid flat and easy to walk, and the flowers and trees are also well maintained. Personally, I think that after chasing the drama, and chasing the scenes in the drama, it is worthwhile to derive an understanding of the big era! After visiting the former residence and admiring Wenzhou Street, which is full of humanities, don't forget the good food nearby!

Very quaint little house museum dedicated to its former resident Yin Hai-kuang. Staff are helpful and friendly. It's a lovely escape from the surrounding bustle.

This is definitely worth visiting. If you know his work, then you have to come and feel his thoughts. Thanks to the people who try hard to protect his legacy and preserve his former residence. No admission charged so I’d suggest you to donate if you can.
