1. There is no parking lot nearby, you need to park on the street.

The oldest existing meteorological building in Taiwan. It was located on the highest point of the former Tainan Fucheng, and it used to be called "Jiuling Terrace". Because of the white tower in the middle of the building, the old Tainan people called it the pepper pipe.
During the Japanese occupation period, the Tainan Weather Survey Office, which was completed in Meiji 31 (1898), consists of two structures: a circular building and a wide chimney tower. The circular building at the bottom is about 15 meters in diameter, and the building area is 180 square meters, about 50 ping. Above the plane of the circular building is a central round tower anemometer with a diameter of about 3 meters and a height of about 6.5 meters in the shape of a chimney tower. The circular building takes this wind force as the central axis, and the rest of the building is covered with roof tiles, and the external steel bars are arranged in a radial pattern of 18. It is divided into six rooms except for the east-west aisle. The height of the official building together with the wind meter of the central round tower above is 11.6 meters.

Tainan Weather Station, located in the Central and Western District of Tainan City, was completed in AD 1898. It was one of the first weather stations established in the early days of Japanese occupation. It is also the oldest existing meteorological building in Taiwan. It has disappeared from Penghu, and now only the weather station in Tainan is left. In the center of the building is a cylindrical wind tower with a height of about 12 meters. The tower is surrounded by a lower one-story 18-sided office space. Due to the white tower in the middle of the building, the old Tainan people called it the pepper pipe. After the Japanese occupation period and the National Government, as well as the changes of the government, the name was changed. After AD2001 established the Taiwan Southern District Meteorological Center, it was turned into a historical and cultural relics office. Including four displays of weather, earthquake, astronomy and walrus
