This is such a huge contrast to rest of taitung!
Parking is usually catastrophic and overloaded.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s good place.... surrounded by several beautiful locations.... a connection point for east coast off-shore islands... green island and orchid island....to reach here there is a shuttle bus from Taitung Station and it takes around 20-30 minutes. Apart from shuttle bus there is east cost bus line 8101 but the timings are odd ... You can even think about Taxi service but it’s quite expensive. Bus fare is NT$ 25 however taxi charges 300-350 or you can go by meter which will be similar amount although.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a decent port, but its very small and not well prepared for the big groups of tourists and travelers during high season (summer time).
No convenient stores here, just small vendors selling traditional Taiwanese snacks.
My boyfriend and I got on the ferry to Lanyu Island (2 and a half hours ride) and no one was really giving instructions of where to get in line. It was pretty chaotic and obviously hot.
The ferry was in good condition, but they were too busy and behind schedule to clean inside before the next group came in though so there was trash in some of the seats.
*Be sure to reserve your ferry tickets before hand!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A decent port, also the transit station if u wanna visit Green Island. Biggest problem is the a bit “wild” lineup arrangement- not so many clear signs or manners there

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's ok. Ticketing is counter is little away from board the ferry. If the are in same building it would be much better ,convenient and comfortable to the passengers

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You had better take notice of the shuttle bus schedule in advance. Otherwise you can only take a taxi to the airport or train station. The average charge is about NT$300 to $350.
