★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dodgy as hell service from the ticketing staff - sold me a ticket for a train that was just leaving then wouldnt give me a refund ! Paid for the fast train and was made to take the slow one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once you get out from the train station, join the queue at the lunchbox shop on your left. Basically a local must-do.
* Go to the beach (paid but clean, about five minutes walk) or
* rent a bicycle and go for a ride thru the old railway tunnel (official bicycle trail). Once at the other side of the tunnel, take a rest at Sicheng - very local coastal village. Go the same way back (easier) OR ride back along the coast (up to three hours with kids breaks). Wonderful views, bathrooms and eateries on the way to Fulong. You can rent regular bicycles, with kids seats, electric bicycles.
* Get taxi to the Caoling trail - fairly easy hiking trail to Baxi (some three-year-olds did the walking on their own, 8km,but quite a few stairs there). Totally worth it.
Better go to Fulong by train, especially on weekends. Roads might get jammed on the way to Taipei on Sunday afternoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fulong station is small train station in Fulong, located at a good place. It’s easy to find. It takes about 3-5 minuets walk to the nearest convenient store. There are lots of bicycle rental shop near the entrance of the train station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to visit, you can rent a bike and ride to the nearby tunnel, we visited during summer and the 2km tunnel was cooling, properly paved with lighting. It was a joy riding bike there, bento is a must try at the station too

The toilet so clean! I liked it, stroller friendly. Have a free wifi (great speed tho ?) they give some informations route to several places.
