FX Hotel Tainan

Decent hotel. Rooms are up to date. The location of this hotel is convenient as well. -1 star for the curtain glass partition for the bathroom. I understand if this is a good/fun feature for a couple, but not for a room with 2 separate bed.

Good location. In most other aspects it came in short. The hotel is rewarding guests who leave positive reviews (as it turns out from posters in the elevators), which would explain the discrepancy between expectation and experience. - Free rental bikes, but only one was available. We were two, so that was of little help. - Extremely poorly isolated rooms. Expect to hear people getting busy in their rooms when walking down the hallway. We did. Don't be surprised if you wake up early from noise outside. We did. - Entirely subjective, but I found the decor tacky and cheap. Random Iron Man sculpture in the lobby. - Paid extra to get breakfast included. Girlfriend complained about her stomach not feeling well afterwards and then vomited from the food. - With the exception of the acute food poisoning, everything else would be acceptable for a 2 or 3 star hotel. Nothing about the rooms, facilities, and amenities justifies 4 stars. On a more positive note, the bed was very comfortable. The food poisoning and overall experience were not.

The rooms are nice and the hotel is very modern. The beds were soft enough for me as well. Service was fast and check in/out was quick. I didn't like that the two blue lights on the bedside light switch wouldn't turn off so the room wasn't dark enough for me.

The area that the hotel was in may seem a little run down, but it was in a reasonably convenient area with plenty of food options available. The rooms were clean and roomy and the toilets were clean. There are amenities like a really small gym and hotel breakfast (we didn't spring for this option). The vibe given feels like a cruise cabin. 9/10, would stay again

Pros: Location is amazing, so much in walking distance. Bed is comfortable rooms are spacious hotel design is fun and hip have bicycles available for rent reception speaks basic English Cons: The cleaning really needs to be improved. There was a lot of mold on the walls in the shower and toilet, and the provided bath mat was also black with mold spores as well. The horse table in the entry was really dirty as well. Lighting in the bathroom is really dim, hard to do makeup. Breakfast is limited

Clean, good location and service! Super close to many famous spot, and their staffs are all friendly and helpful! The only inconvenience is they don’t have their own parking in the building so you have to cross a street to park , but it didn’t bother me a lot.

Great location, friendly staffs, spacious room but ..... Housekeeping really need to step up their game. The first room smelled like a smokehouse, the second room had trash and cookie crumbs from the last hotel guest (or the housekeeper had a snack in the room?) Oh and parking sucks, if you have luggages you need to double park on the side of a busy street and unload first or it’ll be quite a walk from the parking lot (with a fee) nearby to the hotel.

Comfortable environment with nice deco, great location with plenty of great food choices within walking distance. However bed and pillow aren't as comfy, bed slightly stiff while pillows are flat. Recommended to prepare own toothbrush for stay period.
