Large selection of games, clean interior. Drinks and alcohol available. A tad pricey compared to one near ShiDa. Membership is available if you play board games often.

2nd time visited this store. Here has many kinds of board games, and the environment very casual. I’ll recommend it to who is looking for a board game store.

From Singapore here. Came here twice on rainy nights in Taipei. The place is cosy, and it offers a good selection of games. I played K2, Elysium and Epic while I was there. They put great effort to shrink wrap all their boxes and sleeve all their cards so the condition of the games are top notch. The staff was friendly, and she took the effort to suggest games and teach us how to play. If your Mandarin is not strong, you might find it difficult to play here though, since they have mostly Mandarin editions of the games. For example, Elysium, which they did not have a Mandarin version of, had translations printed out and included in the sleeves.

I bought a game for 880 TWD and wanted to play it there, but was asked to pay 200 TWD to reserve a table for two at a nearly empty shop. The cost would be acceptable if I was trying out a game from their personal collection but I wasn't. Why not offer either a discount or a free table as a sign of good customer service? Note: I could have purchased this game for 527 TWD but decided to spend a little more to support the local game shop; I regret my decision. Recommendation: Buy your games online and find a nice caffe to play at instead. You'll be saving a lot of money and not have to worry about a time limit. REPLY TO OWNER: Let's do some basic arithmetic. Most stores markup their games between 45% to 50%, which would put your profit at 440 TWD for the aforementioned purchase. Even if you were to go as low as 25%, which is unlikely, you would still make 220 TWD. We could have foregone the purchase and just rented out a table, but that would actually have lost you money. In addition, the game we asked to play was Patchwork, a 15 to 30 minute game. We did not require a rules explanation or even need a person to play with. If we had asked to play Mansions of Madness or Gloomhaven, then your concern would be valid. What you're proposing is that we don't buy the game and just play the copy that you have on the shelf, which nets you a lower profit; I don't understand the logic. Finally, any good business knows that it should be based around customer service since we are the ones that bring in the money. What your employee did was earn you a negative review and a loss of a customer. We were thinking of purchasing Majolica from you as well, but we'll go support a business with more sense instead.
