Oh! I do not even want to give 3 ?. One of the worst experience s in Taiwan. The obese one for sure. Yes they are doing their jobs and asking details for something, it is fine and i understand my liability in providing those documents. Applied for a Schengen visa and visited 4 times in person to provide some printed documents (mail or emails are not acceptable). Each time I provide some document, they asked for a new one. Finally the worst thing, they asked for confirmed tickets and when the visa was issued the permitted entry date was 2 days later than my journey date in the ticket. i had to cancel my ticket and that was an expensive deal. The delivery was also problematic, there was no notification from the office in advance and they sent it as a C.O.D. The good thing was reaching to the location (Taipei 101) was easy. The processing time for stamping after collection of documents was also fast (in 2 days).

I came back to write this review after moving to Germany 3 years ago. The staff in German Institute Taipei is arrogant, unprofessional and corrupted. I’ve heard, and suffered many unbelievably bad experiences. Here I just share two: I was given by a student visa as an engineer. Secondly , someone received „express appointments“ due to building up „private connections“ to the officers. Shame on German Institute Taipei.

My interview was with the female agent, who was polite and processed my application efficiently. I applied for the student visa on 8/24, and just received it this morning(9/23) after sending back my insurance certificate and the expected arrival date to them on 9/18. With the corona pandemic raging on, this is just the right time to cut people some slake; with all the one star reviews they’ve got I was literally all anxious and worried before getting into their office. However, the overall process is genuinely pleasant. Have all the required documents ready and be polite yourself, things shall go well.

The best View from 35 floors, the architect design 101 and We should know the German Culture. The best way to know the country, just to visit. Type Service will be good in experience.

It would be most difficult to find words which could describe the denizens of this public office suitable enough for polite company. It is a mark upon the German diplomatic corps that despite the numerous less-than -favorable reviews they still have not troubled themselves for a remedy to the regrettable performance of this office. A fie on you, German Institute!

The Security Guards in the this building are very friendly. They are very observant to the their co-employees, guests, clients and even to the applicants inside. I observed that everyone in the building speaks English fluently. The ladies in the front desk are very accommodating, especially on how to use the kiosk to get a visitor's card/pass. The guard at the entrance guides the visitors/people to use the card/pass and which elevator a visitor should take. I went with an appointment at German Embassy. The lady whom I spoke over the kiosk to get a visitor's card sounded very friendly. Very well maintained area. Busy but the security at the embassy was very helpful assisting each visitor. Not crowded area and the office provides a locker for personal but unnecessary things for the interview. Mobile phones must be turned off while inside the office. There's a Family Mart at B1, 7-11 in 35th Floor where there is a copier machine for those who wants to have print-out and photocopy. Asking for an assistance on how to use the copier machine is not a problem as these store has enough employees. All in all, staffs, employee and officers inside this building are very accommodating.????
