Gmt Italian Restaurant

I had brunch in GMT. The food was first class and the service excellent. Manager Antonio was helpful, attentive, efficient —-perfect. I would certainly go back to this restaurant again.

A posh place with generally good service. Portion of food is very generous and fresh. However, we ordered seafood spaghetti and the big mussel was not cooked, more like it on the raw side. We informed the captain, the bigger build one of the 2, and he quite flat facedly said I will show it to the chef. And then he returned and said they will cook a mussel to replace. By that time, we were done pasta and ready for the main. Then he return a a small rather sad looking at it was just a small mussel on a side plate and presented it to us. I guess not very appropriate presentation for a restaurant of this level. We were rather dumbfounded. Then the main came. We order iberico pork but weren't pleased with it. There were 4 or 5 pieces but only the 2 center pieces are good. The rest as they were on the outside were dry and hard.. maybe we didn't make a good choice. We were slow with the entree as it wasn't so enticing. The vegetables were still on the plate and this same captain came and wanted to clear the table. I had to stop him. Guess he makes a super efficient waiter. The rest of the juniors were great. They had service way much better than this gentleman. Will still go back and hopefully we make better choices.

Very Italian ! With friendly service and fantastic music or opera ! Of course the genuine stylish foods are the basic attractions for my coming back again and again !

I enjoyed a lot the atmosphere ,taste of food and honestly it was completely perfection when every dish was presented by Mr Antonio . Thanks again to Mr Antonio for making my birthday very special and taking care of us.

Food was okay. For a booth holding up to 10 people($3600/person), we all agreed that the steak was over cooked, and the wine glass for one of my friends was stinky like some dirty rag. We told the waitress about it but they only changed another glass of white wine and wouldn’t acknowledge our finding, it was very sad to see a five star hotel with such bad service. Will not recommend. :( waste of money.

Decent Italian food in Taipei. Ingredients all feel authentic, although flavor has a local twist. Beautiful space and wonderful staff really made the evening.

We had a really great experience with GMT Italian restaurant. We came here for a weekend brunch. Extremely good food, decent prices and great service. The manager, Antonio, is very attentive and always makes sure you are taken care of. This has become one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Taipei!

Went to GMT for my birthday dinner on my wife's treat. Had a 48 once T-bone steak to share with my family, and order dinner set which comes with appetizer salad, soup, small shrimp pasta, dessert and coffee. Every dish taste wonderful, and a steak is perfectly grilled. ? Waitress is very friendly, and the service is top notch. I always like the atmosphere of the Grand Mayful Hotel, which is also not far driving from my home. This is one of my favorite steakhouse.
