★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was visiting 四四南村 and visited this Cafe which is within 四四南村 compound. Love the bagel soaked with condensed milk and the berry yogurt drink. These are recommended by their friendly staff. Love the nostalgic settings of the cafe, which is spacious (I've brought along a baby stroller).
I went on a Saturday afternoon, which the staff mentioned it is their peak period. Unless you don't mind waiting for 20mins plus, you can consider call to make a reservation.
If you wish to wait, you can walk around the cultural heritage within 四四南村.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a set with pork meat balls. All the waiters and waitress are very attentive, pay attention to details. They kept coming to refill my water and asked how is the food(not like American one that they asked for the sake of asking).
The food itself is delicious! I went in because it was raining outside, didn’t expect the food is so nice. It totally twisted my expectation. Also they have bagels! I bought two and both tasted so good!
Highly recommended but the service of cashiers can be improved:)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bagle dishes are worth taking a try which are not dry or fluffy but al dente. Drinks and desserts are also great and the most important is the service is perfect. Staff are willing to answer any question patiently.

- The restaurant is very spacial
- Excellent location and 3 car parks available ($40 per hour or $50 per hour in weekdays or weekend)
- Dessert is beautiful
- nice view as you can take picture of both historical buildings and 101 at the same time
Cons:
Food - quite expensive and standard.
Service - not attentive enough. We asked for help for few minutes but nobody answer although we come for early lunch
Toilet - very inconvenient as the present toilet is under renovation. You need to go a bit far away and we look for 10 minutes.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cafe has a new menu. Ordered bagel with smoked salmon which cost ntd 480. Taste was ok but too expensive. Came in a paper wrapper, not even on a plate. Definitely not going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was introduced by a friend who loves the bagels sold here. Situated very near Taipei 101 where you can see the magnificent building right up close. They have a variety of food offered ranges from bagels itself, bagel sandwiches and some fusion Taiwanese food. I decided to try the vegetarian mapoo taufoo and it was the best choice for me. The spiciness was just right ending with numbness on your palate which was expected. After our meal, we each bought some bagel home. The flavor ranges from oolong tea, sweet potato or strawberry with cream cheese, wild mulberry, plain of course, cheese and many more. Do come and try if you have the chance.

the set as a whole was good value for money for the area
+TWD200 for soup, drink, and dessert
1️⃣ Tomato Soup [7/10]
tasted really fresh and had a lot of vegetables but nothing special
2️⃣ Chicken Bagel [4/10]
it was a recommended item.
the bagel was not toasted beforehand, the slaw was tasteless and did not contribute to the dish, chicken was slightly sweet but tasteless otherwise. i don’t think they used much salt.
the best thing on the plate was the chips, i was hoping to be able to spot a bag on my way out so i can purchase it but didn’t manage to
3️⃣ Brownie
brownie itself tasted good with the marshmallow but the rice crispy was sadly lacking the anticipated crunch and felt stale

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sorry but I can not enjoy this place. I had the pastrami bagel and the meat was dry as the desert and when I asked for more mustard or hot sauce they wanted to charge me extra. Wanted to order salad but did not when they said " I had to get it with dressing" staff is nice so service isn't bad. The one star is for the food a little over priced for what you are getting. I can not recommend this place to another human being. If prices are high then quality needs to be good. You have failed on both counts. Who ever put together the menu hates food. It was unacceptable. Shame on you.
