Grand View Resort Beitou Hotel

We were greeted with great service. Service was good throughout the hotel. The hot tub was good too. But the room was impressive. Having paid that amount of money and even extra for higher floors and view, we were assigned to a room that faces the hill side just 10m away. It looks good initially but it was getting dark since we can only check in at 3pm. We actually paid for a room with a view if the city and sunset! We requested a room change and it was done after ½hour wait. Do not understand as to why we were assigned a room without a view when we paid for one. The bedroom was rather small as half of the space was taken up by the dressing and shower and hot tub area. Not forgetting a big balcony. Apart from the room being small, the changing area has only glass sliding doors! This is absolutely not accepted as there is no privacy at all! What if my teenage daughter is with us that day? Besides, we need a light on in the night in the toilet so that we will not trip over and fall but it was so so bright in the room. The light to the toilet is also connected to the expire air which was loud too! The room was stuffy as the is so much humidity in it. We can open the door or windows but there are no mosquito screen! I actually could sleep till almost 4 when I just knock out. The next morning, I realized that the mattress is old and has sunken in the middle which left my body feeling tired and achy. Another hard to believe thing is they don't have drinking cups! They only provided 2 glasses and 2 expresso cups for expresso coffees and 2 small Chinese tea cups for Chinese tea. But I just want to drink hot water!.... no drinking cups....? On the positive note, there are so much freebies in the room. Food at the french restaurant was good. I opted to upgrade to the lobster set which is worth every penny. Breakfast was good too. Sumptuous!

Very beautiful hotel with a lovely & helpful staff. The food at their restaurants was outstanding and their hot springs are so calming. Definitely a great place to come ease your mind and relax.

A very good hot Spring resort in Beitou Area. The room is good and the service is very good. The dinning experience is pleasant for both dinner and breakfast. The quality of hot spring is perfect with sulfur. Overall experience to stay in the hotel from check-in to check-out is very pleasant. The only problem is the space of the room is not big enough. Perhaps will try bigger room next time.

Comfortable spa facility and services. Good food with wine cellars. A walk around the hotel gives views of by-gone glories in the early 20th century as a famous resort for hot spring in winterdays.

A great place where you always like to share with someone very important . We thank you for your hospitality and a thoughtful birthday cake and photos. Most enjoyable and Very creative French cuisines, and variety of delicious breakfast - Unforgettable treats.

Went for the 2800 NTD private hot spring room. Recommended to book in advance. The staff is friendly and straightforward. The hot spring area is very clean. The room 2800 room is large and has a big tub outside ( with roof ). The session is 90 minutes and includes dessert ( think it's pannacotta ) and tea. You can choose from several different tea flavours. Can recommend their hot spring if you want a high class experience.

Five star quality all around. I always like to recommend this hotel to people who are visiting Beitou and celebrating an anniversary or just wanting to splurge on a relaxing weekend. Instead of going on a travel website to book, I’d recommend to book directly on their website. I realized doing so, I not only got better service but also better view (I’ve been to this hotel a few times and have used other travel sites to book before). The non-discounted fee is worth the small details. For me and my husband’s celebration we booked their you-ya type 1 suite (Mountain View). The extra couch space wasn’t really necessary, but it definitely was on the secluded side. Front desk personnel was very attentive. One of the staffs named Lana spoke English fluently and was quick to respond when we had any questions. If you’re thinking of eating dinner there, definitely go for their Chinese food! However, if you’re thinking of working out after a meal, just wear the hotel wear. Their gym only had two treadmills and two bikes. So no running shoes necessary (don’t expect to have a good sweat session). Breakfast was meh. Room amenities are all there. So if you’re staying there for a night, you really don’t need to bring anything. Parking is also along the back and they comp your parking space.
