★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, clean rooms. Note that rooms had a strong cleaning agent smell and poor ventilation, so it does not go away. Other pluses: the receptionists are friendly and multi lingual; there was a good variety of food (as opposed to a standard continental breakfast).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms are huge! and very nice. Surprisingly quiet given it's on a main street. Only downside is that the entrance is in the back side of the building which makes it a bit tricky to find at first. Check in can get crowded since the lobby is pretty cramped. But the rooms make up for all that since it's a great value for what you pay. Excellent location too, right out the MRT station with tons of restaurants and shops nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was told it is a two year old hotel, building is dated, interior have been renovated. Staff is friendly, breakfast OK, cafeteria clean. Garage cleanliness can be improved. Garage do not have elevator to lobby, excess luggages may be a problem. Recommend to drop off luggages first before parking your car. Price about $100 including breakfast with window. Room is spacious. Misleading pictures for the room I ordered which was supposed to have big windows?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is on going construction from 6 Jan to middle April 2020. The booking website didn't tell me that.
The lobby is not cozy as it is only a bench before the check in counter.
Breakfast has both Western the local food, which is good. The hotel has hundred of guests but only 2 lifts. During breakfast time you have to wait a bit. The lifts don't have censor and if the person before you don't push the hold button (as I experienced), then you wait longer.
Windows and Wall are not sound proof. Not recommend if you can't bear some street noise at 3 am.
The room is spacious and clean though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a twin bed room and boy was the room huge! I can't believe it's a room in downtown Taipei for only 4,000 NT for 2 nights. AMAZING! The room was cleaned up pretty good, no stains or molds in the bathroom, the couch is quite cozy. Hot water came really quick that's a big plus. Breakfast is nice too, not too many items but the quality's not bad. Nothing to complain about really. AND the hotel is only 50 steps from the subway exit like crazy close. It's a great deal and I'll definitely come back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chose this hotel for self-management. The room is big and it looks like it has been renovated. Restrooms have also been updated.
But when you open the window, it's really a sight that makes you faint. Moldy windowsills and dirty windows. Even the cigarette butts smoked by guests are discarded between the windowsills ?
The musty and smoky smell was very unpleasant.
So the air purifier is provided after the reaction.
I urge guests not to smoke in the room so unethically.
During the entry and exit, the service staff will greet the guests when they come into contact with them. Attitudes are also good.
Water and supplies are also quite plentiful.
But please also wipe the windows at least a little. And the mold in the room had to be cleaned up.
