導覽員很熱情的解說安平劍獅的特徵、由來典故
海山館在1684 年為清朝士兵建造的建築，收藏護身符等抵禦邪惡的物品。是清代水師海壇鎮官兵作為集會、膳宿、祭祀神明的場所。
現在是安平文教基金會接手管理
裡面有賣一些有特色的文創商品

A quaint monument hidden in an alley
The guide enthusiastically explained the characteristics and origins of the Anping Sword Lion
Haishan Pavilion, a building built for Qing soldiers in 1684, houses amulets and other items to ward off evil. It was a place for officers and soldiers of Haitan Town, a naval master in the Qing Dynasty, to meet, accommodate, and worship the gods.
Now the Anping Culture and Education Foundation takes over the management
It sells some unique cultural and creative products
If you come to Anping Old Street, you can stop by and have a look.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 為清軍(福建平潭水師)駐臺時的會館(1736，推測)，作為供奉家鄉神祇(主祀媽祖)和聯絡聚會之所。日治時出售並整修為張宅(1911)，張姓後代亦捐鄰地給基督長老教會建教堂。市府購回後整修開放(1975)。坐西朝東，東正面有兩出入口(正門上有「開明朗耀」四字/側門上有劍獅擋煞，另南北各有一拱門，但北拱門已遭民宅阻擋無法進出。
