I noticed that news readers and program presenters do not speak a Standard Hakka, instead different variation of the dialect is spoken. The news are read very fast and it is difficult to understand what the news presenters are reading from the scrip. I am a Hakka from Singapore and speaks fairly good Hakka dialect. I understand that Taiwan has seven variation of spoken Hakka. I would suggest that Hakka TV should have a policy that a Standard Hakka be adopted for the benefit of all viewers . Viewers from Singapore and Malaysia and other parts of Asia would be very happy if this can be implemented by the TV station. I am sure viewership would increased and that would be for the TV station.
