Best Rail museum in Taiwan

A	Andika Subrata on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit with friends or family Ourside, there is also mini train for kids to play The staffs here are nice and friendly You can visit here from Xiziwan MRT station or Hamasen LRT station

They have a great huge layout for railroads in Taiwan, from Taipei, to Keelung, to Hualien, over to Kaohsiung....showing cities, rural, mountain, shores, lake, ports, etc. Admission fees is 100TWD per adult. They also have a sit-on ride, better fit for children, but mkst were adults...riding around the compound. This place sit in the middle of tge harbor, open air art displays, next to 30+ old train tracks.....good place for a stroll in late afternoon.
A	Arjono Pta on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historical building of the railroad, it was so nice to see how Taiwan classical rail road were build and grow to become a very modern and sophisticated like today with High Speed Railway Train, amazing and we learn so much about railroad history that we have to keep remember.

Visible inside the 3D movie and in model on the boarder section. But not in there engine board. Said that they forgot that they have a real unique steam engine on board in Taiwan.
J	Jan H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not really into trains, but you don't have to be a train fan to appreciate the amazing miniature model of Taiwan (with tiny model trains running back and forth). The model is huge and really detailed, with a daytime/nighttime sequence, cultural festivals and architecture, examples of industry... To get the most out of it, take some time to really scrutinise the model. The VR experience was fun too.
G	George Ku on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really great museum. Not sure why anyone would rate this less than 5 stars. The interactive part of the museum was great and the mini models were great. There were displays of different parts of Taiwan like Keelung etc. The staff were friendly and professional. There are discounted passes for the mini train ride and the museum combo which is worth it. For a family of 3 it was about 20 dollars USD. Worth it.

The full room model depicting all the trains in service is just unbelievable. Features moving parts of all types, a day/night mode, and accurate depictions of several cities in Taiwan. Normally there is a small train you can ride outside as well, but it wasn’t in service when we went this time.
