★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to visit, should go earlier in the evening to avoid long queues.
Taste of the xiao long bao is pretty good as did the vegetarian dumplings.
Service was OK, to be honest there wasn't really much expected of them, the pricing is probably a little above average but still alright.
Enjoyable place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Xiao Long Bao was juicy and better than Shengyuan(around the corner). Fried vegetables were a little bit greasy but really delicious. Fried dumplings and sour soup were disappointed(too expensive). Average service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Taipei.
Everyone loves Din Tai Fung, but honestly, this place is quite good and doesn’t have nearly the same waiting time.
The soup dumplings are all good. The sides are self service, so you can just take them out of the refrigerator case, same as the beverages.
There is a picture menu and a written one so you can use either. The picture one has English as well.
The pork soup dumpling are great, as well as the crab egg ones. Eat them while they’re warm though. When they cool down, they’re not nearly as good.
The sides are hard to go wrong with too. The dark mushrooms or marinated tofu are both great options.
Utensils and ginger/sauce are also self service. You pay on your way out. Just take your bill to the front and pay (cash only) at the register.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a big disappointment. The two stars are for the quality of food. Everything was very average, actually, below average. I know, business was good, but the food was plain, not much flavors, including their well known pork buns and pot stickers. The stir fried vegetables tasted like tree branches, they should not have served such bad quality vegetables. Prices are not that cheap either. Definitely have no idea why they were busy ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was really tasty and cooked to perfection - xiaolongbaos were at the right temperature, not too hot, and the skin was not thick, the beef wrap I thought was alright but my partner enjoyed it a lot, and the radish cake was cripsy yet tender. It's not cheap though - 380 NT for below, but I guess definitely still cheaper than places like Din Tai Fung, and the quality of the dishes were for sure comparable to it, and service was impeccable too. Will coke back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I find the mediocre rating of this place surprising, because for me it's one of the best restaurants I know. The choice for vegetarians is limited but don't forget that there is a "cupboard" where you can also get vegetables and stuff in addition to what's on the menu. Soups, veggies, dumplings, radish cake, even the dipping sauces and other condiments like the chilis are suuuper tasty. Super super recommended.

However we love this place too, it feels more like home cooking. the xiao long baos are delicious and the prices are affordable!
It used to be very crowded but now you can go and wait for almost nothing for delicious food, they serve very quickly.
Good food, good prices, no wonder it has a couple of Michelin stars.
