Hanzhou Xiao Long Bao

Not sure if quality has gone down in covid era or always like this. First time going and most likely will not be going again. Ordered combo meal off of fun now, which included Original Soup Dumplings x8, Fried Rice, Dessert Buns, and Drunken Chicken. Soup dumplings and fried rice came out rather quickly, but the soup dumpling skin was somewhat dry/ undercooked, and the filling seemed grainy and underwhelming. Fried rice was very good though. After we finished these two items, it took maybe another 10 minutes to get any wait staff to notice that we've been without food and had to remind them that our cold dish didn't arrive yet. It seems they were quite busy with takeout orders as the interior was probably half full or less. Dessert buns were pretty standard. Drunken chicken wasn't bad. Overall, for someone trying to be at least on-par with, and claiming to be superior to Din Tai Fung, their lack of service and undercooked dumpling skin were a far cry from expectations. Not sure if the main branch fares any better. The glamorous interior decoration doesn't make up for the disappointing meal.

Excellent dumplings, better than that 'other famous' dumpling restaurant in Taiwan! Apart from that, their prawn fried rice is also exceptional, with nary a drop of oil to be found on the plate. How the heck do they manage that?! Prices are somewhat on the steep side, but you definitely get what you pay for.

This is one of the top three recommendations for dim sums in Taipei! The interior is well designed with a nice taste of styling. The food is a bit sweet compared to other restaurants. I strongly recommend tourist to try luffa dim sum. When you bite them the juice of the veggi is amazing! And also the shrimp here is great! The only problem is it’s a bit far from metro for tourists.

When people think of 小籠包 they always go to 鼎泰豐. I don't like 鼎泰豐 that it is super busy and long line up. This place is the same and even better and more relax for dining out. The soup dumpling is excellent along with many other dishes that Din Tai Fong does not have. Highly recommended for all travellers and people like 小籠包. 魚餃 豆沙鍋餅 is also my favorite.

Very popular restaurant but the queues move quickly. Good tasting xialongbaos but what was really special was their turnip biscuit. You place your order before going into the restaurant, they show you your table then you go get your own bowls and cutlery.

Famous for steamed pork dumplings. Clean place, kids friendly. Price relative high but quality just ok.
