★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really pleasant place to spend a couple of hours, with several nicely restored Japanese era houses and a remarkably interesting museum about Hatta Yoichi and the history of hydroelectric engineering in Taiwan, not something I expected to be fascinated by, but I was. Decent English explanations on most of the museum exhibits.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very peaceful experience walking through the Japanese style houses. There's also a small pond with a few bridges for taking pictures.
The ticket purchasing was a bit confusing as you need to drive 1 km farther from the entrance to get them. Ticket also includes a visit to the nearby dam.
