★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Is a really beautiful place to visit. Although is far from the train station but is really worth a visit. The building itself is old and well maintained coupled with the 60's and 70's interior design in the store definitely stunning. Bought many postcards for my friends and sent to my friends overseas. You can buy souvenir as birthday present, wedding gifts or just gifts for friends and family too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the art deco design of this old Japanese department store, the way it's preserved feels like a museum or art gallery. I like walking through the different floors up to the amazing rooftop that still has a Shinto shrine! If you need to rest your feet the coffee shop is usually quiet with nice views. A must visit for Tainan.

The design and finishing of the interior was superfluous with the top floor being the best of all. Just go and discover

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Totally worth venturing in. Take the stairs for an interesting feel while pass through the multiple floors of specialty shops. The whole place has a very home-like feel. Stop at the top at the cozy coffee shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool old-world Japanese department store that’s stood on this site through World War Two and still shows bullet holes and signs of the war. Very cool hand crafted items and a very cool vibe. Totally worth a visit with great views from the roof and even its own Shinto shrine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit for some local arts and crafts. Found some truly delightful items. There is a restaurant upstairs that has great food (curry) and shaved ice to combat the heat. If you like dhopping for unique gift items about Taiwan or Tainan you should not miss this place!
