One of the best schools in the area to send my own kids to. If you are school hunting, definitely give them a try. You'll love the campus and the folks there.

Hello Andrew Ameson:-) HCAS is not a KORNELL BRANCHED SCHOOL if you just look at our name. If you dare to spam us, then have the guts to use your real name. It's ironic that the negative reviews are from a FAKE NAME. Since you know about the problems in HCAS, were you the problem that was HCAS got rid off?

Pretty funny that the only positive reviews are from teachers at this cram school, I mean Korrnell Academy branch school. Perhaps they were told to writing a review in a meeting or two. They aren't accredited...only a candidate school - which means they paid enough money to WASC to get 3 years to fix all the problems. And I know 3 of the teachers who work at this place. One is a bully - chased one teacher away because she was afraid of him. Another is toxic - worked with her at another school - avoid Spanish class (imho). The third, everyone laughs at him - even the principal. Thank God I saw the teachers before I applied to this hell-whole school. Avoid, unless you are desperate for work.

The children who go here love coming to school because of the wholesome and enriching learning environment the school has created for its students. Students are offered a wide variety of electives along with the core subjects which are all taught in English. My friend's daughter goes to HCAS and she told him she doesn't like weekends anymore because she would rather be at school!

the best school around chupei area. it is not about how pretty the campus is. it is about the core value of HCAS. willing to listen the kids' thoughts and give 100% respect and support. what is the sucesfful education really mean. Grades?? of course not, it is how to lead ur kids, even parents to discover ur protentials and build up ur confidence. Than u will know how to help others and how to respect people who are different from u. As a HCAS parent, I still so confused about why someone gave HCAS very negative review. U do have right to disagree our core value "RRESPECT". But ur review just prove how impolite u could be. But anyway thank u for not being our school . In conclusion, I love this school in many ways, HCAS is exactly my dream school. If u are a fish, why u have to climb the tree. Everything is possible, that is what I have seen in this HCAS. Science fair, the Broadway-level show "Press Start" , speech contest, Earth and world book day, Thanksgiving party, Christmas party,.....more outside activities for helping the neighborhood.....I can't list all!! . I am so proud to be a HCAS parent.

After my kids joining this school for 2 years, I have my own opinions to this school now. Honestly, this is a very new international school in Taiwan, which means there was a chaos at their first year. But I would say they are making a miracle, and it’s still happening. All the faculty members, including their teachers, administrative stuffs, managers, principal, and the chairman are willing to communicate with parents and students and do the best they can. I can feel the sincerity when every time I talk to every stuff. It’s a very important value I want to deliver to my children. In here, our community is like a huge family. Just like every families, most of the time we get alone, but somethings we have conflicts. After all, we still strongly bond together because of love and understanding. We talk to each other, share our thoughts, contribute something. This year, we can perceive that school is stabilized and growing up. That’s too good to be true.

Here is a summary of my long review that was blocked because of spam. Please excuse my grammar. HCAS has a school environment that is easy to navigate, ensures the student's safety, and helps students in learning, speaking, writing, and presenting in English. HCAS welcomes every students. The school also makes learning at HCAS enjoyable. With all these reasons above, HCAS is a good School to learn at and deserves a 5 star.

Hi, my name is Clara Sudol, and before my first semester as a freshman at Boston University, I was given the opportunity to take a gap semester. I was looking for real-world experience as a teacher’s assistant, so I could narrow down a possible major. I also wanted to work in a foreign country, and since I’m half Taiwanese, my family encouraged me to reach out to schools in Taiwan to search for a viable internship. When I was interviewed at HCAS, I was given an extensive tour of their elaborate, ornate facilities and met the administration team, as well as several teachers. All the staff members were immediately so friendly and welcoming, and since the start, their attitudes have remained kind-hearted and generous, which has really helped Taiwan feel like a second home for me. I could truly sense a strong feeling of community and cooperativeness, which is remarkable for a private school that’s so young. The curriculum of this school reflects the curriculum of the schools in America that I’ve interned at in the past, as well as my very own elementary school, middle school, and high school experience. The courses are top notch and help each student have a very high quality education. The teachers of this school are passionate, committed, and determined to help the students be the best that they can be, both academically and emotionally. The goal of this school is to create well rounded individuals who are ready for the real world. Since HCAS is an American school, they immerse their students in the English language to encourage learning in and out of the classroom, and the students and I only spoke English to one another, except during their required Chinese classes. The school primarily teaching all subjects in English made me feel better about assisting with classes there. Even though my Chinese got much better during my hundred days abroad, it would’ve been a disservice to the children to teach them in Chinese, as teaching all the students in English improved their speaking and listening skills each day. The staff made sure to constantly enforce the “Only Speak English” rule, and I could truly see the kids starting to improve as the months went on. I primarily worked in the first grade classroom and it was remarkable to see that their English speaking skills are on the same level as the first graders I worked with in the United States. I can honestly say that being in Taiwan during my gap semester has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I’m so happy that I had the chance to work with such brilliant students, as well as an incredible school.
