Meah~~~ It was a disappointed buffet restaurant. Crab wasn't fresh and very small. I feel I was killing baby crab. Raw fish was the best food you can eat. Service was mediocre. Some stations can't find waiter. Over all I won't come back again. Spend 1000NTD per person for raw fish you have lots of choices.

I like their desserts, it's pretty good, but seafood is okay. Not much choice as I thought, we went there for lunch, next time will just go for afternoon tea not lunch or dinner, it's not worth.

I absolutely love this place! They've got such a wide range of dishes. Mind boggling in fact. Pizzas, sashimi, sushi, deep fried, French desserts; they seem to have it all. Making a reservation is quite easy. Just head over to their website, select the date and time you prefer and it's done! You'll then receive a text message to confirm your reservation. Service is quite good too. Despite the language barrier, the staff did their absolute best to make sure we had a good time.

This is a very popular buffet restaurant, originated from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It serves a wide variety of fresh seafood, such as crabs, sashimi, shrimps, oysters, etc. There is no time limit for diners, which is a plus, compared to other buffet restaurants in the city. However, as it is so popular, diners should book a table earlier. In addition, diners come after 7:30pm can get 20% off from the bill, just for your information!

Very good buffet overall. I was impressed by the great variety and attention they put into the smaller details that distinguishes them from other buffets. Eg, steak was on par with other buffets but six types of salts and 4-5 types of sauces and sautéed garlic bulbs (this I appreciated a lot) to go with your steak? Brilliant! Also about eight types of fruits which were all sweet and presented well in their colors and freshness. Two brands of ice creams including Haagen Daz and another brand I didn’t know but was of high quality (I didn’t expect to like the matcha green tea flavored ice cream but I loved it!). I was also impressed by the soups (raw beef slices cooked as you pour in hearty clear broth, and clam soup). Lots of dessert varieties too including the impressive soufflé pancake with various toppings. Oh and four types of coffee beans, including two rated above 90!! Good spacious environment with good view, convenient sink to wash hands after eating seafood without having to leave for the mall bathroom. Admittedly though the seafood didn’t taste as fresh as it could including the crabs. Shrimp was ok and the grilled oysters (limit two per person each time) were pretty good. Good variety of other drinks as well, including three sodas (cans), five juices, two beers (lunch menu), three waters (including sparkling) and three flavors to add. Also some fried items which were fine and pizzas which I didn’t try. Service quick and attentive.

We came here for afternoon tea on a Saturday, and it was quite crowded inside. The food was just average, not as good as we expected given that it is a hotel standard buffet. Western food was the only zone with delicious dishes, especially the stewed beef and lamb. Seafood was really disappointing; sashimi were not fresh at all. As for the dessert, there are lots of choices. Crème Brûlée was really good! Overall, this is the first time and will be the last time that we will be eating here. The price is around NT$870/person, and I don’t think it’s worth it.

We were strongly recommend by our close friends to come try Hi-Lai, which we have very high expectations. We were there for the tea time, it was very packed with not so friendly service. Cooked food and pastries are the only ones consider delicious, others below average, sashimi wasn't really fresh compare to its competitors (had stomachache after). Dessert is good, generous selection of drinks, beer, coffee, and expensive ice creams. Caramel crème brûlée was very good.

We went for the afternoon tea. Good value for the options available and cost. Service was good, but kind of slow at restocking the dishes. The 3 stars were based on the freshness of their crab and fish (since they are a seafood specialized buffet), the quality is not acceptable. Other than that, the dessert bar and sushi bar are really good. Would not be going there for their lunch or dinner if it's gonna be the same quality.
