★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The downstairs home improvement store is more or less a Home Depot or B&Q clone. Good selection, good staff, although just a bit smaller and more urban than the typical US store. They keep it a secret that it requires membership so be sure to sign up.
The Hola store on the first and second floors is a complete joke. Ridiculously overpriced furniture especially when compared to Costco or IKEA in Taiwan, and a weird and incomplete selection of home goods stock. Not worth your time versus IKEA, Costco, or a decent night market or variety store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the shopping experience here at Hola. The environment is never overly crowded or too loud even on a Sunday afternoon. I feel very much at ease walking up and down the aisles that are neatly organized. The staffs are helpful and knowledgeable. The variety and quality of the products are much greater than those of the Ikea products in my opinion.

In the hardware store, you can actually get things custom built for you. They did a great job on a coffee table for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the bigger Hola stores I’ve been to, this one has a lot of choice in addition to being in the same main building as B&Q (in the basement), so very convenient for all home improvement and decorating needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This specific location requires you to be a member to use it. This isn't the case anywhere else in Taiwan, only this specific location.
I asked the clerk why, and she responded "it's like Costco." No, that's not at all the case. Costco makes its money selling memberships. Hola does not, as no other store requires it. Very odd.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best home goods store in Taipei. You can find pretty much anything you need for your home here. Furniture, bedding, kitchenware, tableware, curtains, bathroom fixtures, tools, storage, etc., etc. Quality is excellent on everything, and selection is unparalleled. No MRT nearby, but worth the trip regardless.
