Except for some junior waiter would disrupt your dining experience, every detail is matching the “wow” level.
Perfect pairing! High credit to tonight’s sommelier!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An awesome experience awaits you in a quiet neighborhood!
Food: Nice twist using fresh local ingredients from Taiwan. Was pleasantly surprised by the presentation and taste. Love the plates and unique utensils as well.
Service: Excellent service, very attentive and great attention to detail.
Environment: Cozy and intimate. Good view of the open kitchen and it doesn't feel as pretentious as other Michelin-bound restaurants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a good dinner experience at Holt before the COVID, and was really excited about the holt at home burgers.
Chips were tasty but the burgers were really disappointing.
Flavors were great, but it was way to greasy.
Everything was soaked inside the oil, and kinda ruined the whole burger.
I’ll actually post it on Instagram and Facebook as well so the restaurant doesn’t keep deleting my review.
Its always a positive thing when your customers gives you feedback on the food. But instead Holt just wanna hide reviews from customers that actually ate their food. This is actually ridiculous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasantly surprised by chef’s attention to detail on the ingredients. Great value for a lunch set. Definitely left the restaurant feeling extremely full! Favorite dish of the day was the Abalone Meunière! Favorite surprise was the delicious potatoes under the green sauce. Overall the meal was slightly a bit too salty for me personally but for those that enjoy savory dishes, I don’t think would be a problem. Will definitely want to come back to try their dishes in other seasons!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seasonal menu that's currently seafood inspired. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and perfect dinner service, which says a lot as I'm more of a beef/steak guy.
Will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice dining environment. The tasting menu is the only choice but worth a try. Excellent wine suggestions and intro. The fishes are fresh and the dressing is a very nice touch. I do enjoy the venison and eel. Western fine dining cooking and presenting skill but combined with some Japanese style flavor. A beautiful and tasty experience at night!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service was great! And the overall presentation is well arranged as well.
My favorite was the venison appetizer. I guess that was when my expectation had lifted as well. After the venison, the scallop was cooked right on the spot and the sour dough were very tasty as well.
But once it got to the abalone steamed egg, I started to taste fishy seafood ?
Then I had to use my wine pairing to wash down the after taste.
The fish was good and the braised beef was a bit tough to chew on. The firefly squid had fishy taste as well. ? then it was the main pigeon which was cooked right but the flavor is not my cup of tea.
However both dessert were great! And I would love to come here again , if I can avoid the seafood.
