We opted for the dorm room and had a very good sleep even though mattress was a little hard. It can be a little hard to find but totally worth it and way better that the other sites we looked at around the lake. The host is very helpful and speaks English. The town is close and easy to stock up on food etc. Only negative was that we were not allowed to swim but think that applies to everywhere in sunmoon lake.
