★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a beautiful place to camp. Though there’s a roof, it’s kind of creepy. Nevertheless, it’s worth to camp for the beautiful sunrise and water for surfing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Honeymoon Bay" - quickly followed by an acrimonious divorce. This place could be a beautiful hidden gem on the east coast of Taiwan. Unfortunately it's not. The beach and parking lot are best described as filthy eye sores. Both the locals and regular surfers at this spot seem to have no shame and are quite happy to visit a beach full of trash. At the back of the beach is a bizarre concrete structure looking like a piece of brutalist architecture, which when I was there, was sheltering several tents all where moody looking individuals sat around the embers of dying fires, looking like refugees in a refugee camp. Avoid. Or do something to clean it up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not yet developed for tourist. Very less people which is nice. If you are surfer then this is Paradise. But the road going in is very rough. No paved road. The there are no signboard or anything to guide you in and it's easy to miss the entrance. It's actually behind a temple. BTW it's a long stretch of beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yilan Toucheng Honeymoon Bay has a pleasant scenery and is a favorite mecca of surfers. It overlooks Guishan Island in the southeast. It is suitable for the whole family and young and old. Walking on the soft sandy beach is a lingering destination. It is also the best spot to watch the sunrise at dawn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved the bay very much. It has Volcanic black sand beach and good wave for surfers so you may practice there. Views are also great. It overlooks famous small Guishan Island which is the only active Volcano as they say in Taiwan.
