The premise of flying a remote control jet is to apply to the Gaotan Office of the New Taipei City Government for filing a case. It is hoped that this venue will divert a large number of remote control aircraft players, legal venues and airspace, and provide a remote control flight venue in the north where jet engines can be flown. After nearly four years of evaluation and detailed planning, the project will start construction in early November 2021, be completed in March 2022, and will be opened by Mayor Hou Youyi at the end of March. For the hardware part, the runway site is 300 meters long and 30 meters wide, providing take-off and landing of various fixed-wing aircraft sizes, and a standard UAV training site is set up, which also has the function of an examination room, which is conducive to the examination and licensing system of remote control unmanned aircraft in the future. Personnel training, academic research and industrial promotion, as well as a viewing area for spectators, allow Taiwan's remote-controlled aviation models to easily contact the public, and are more helpful for the international integration of the world. This airfield will also become the only and largest dedicated airfield for remote control aircraft in Taiwan.

It is planned to have a place for entertainment for those who like remote control planes, but there is a lack of a canopy that can shelter from the wind and rain.
