★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lot of shops to visit with lot of handmade stuff. If you have the chance to meet the man who sells Hinoki wood, you won't regret it, the prices are okay and the quality is excellent. I also really enjoyed the buildings. Those old style Japanese houses are very beautiful and always very fresh to spend the beginning of the afternoon !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surely it's not a place for sightseeing and it seems to be more for locals rather than foreign tourists. The place is an ex-factory which produce porcelain kitchenware and stuffs. Now it's a center for creative industries. It sells many local Hualien products, from soap to air diffuser, from keychain to toiletries, from chips to fruit wine. Some people also sell their own products like beads, jewelries, wood products, and so on. Live music can be seen sometimes on weekend afternoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to find interesting gift or souvenir. They have bar and cafe here. You can also DIY music box or clocks here or paint a canvas painting here. There's handicraft and snacks stalls on some days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really quite a deserted place like many other reviews mentioned. Asked a local and she said nowadays there aren't tour groups here already. only locals visit for a stroll. I believe it used to be like Hinoki village in Chiayi where sellers display and sell their crafts in nice structures. but doesn't seem to be operating anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DIY clock , shopping n buying 原住民 Slovenia item.... take some time to walk n appreciate the things that they sell n the story behind.... sit somewhere n enjoy all the creation n people .....amaze..... convenient and a very relaxing plays to be in ...... o ya for your info....all those ant on the floor is fake is all drawing.....art....amazing....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice area for a short walk, but as a tourist - especially during rainy weather - rather boring. On our visit today, no exhibition had opened and only in two houses, there were average products to purchase.
All in all I would just come back to see a specific exhibition.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This used to be a rice wine factory. It was more vibrant when I visited few year ago, with shops and cafes. Now it is being transformed into a cultural / artistic space - but still in the process and it was pretty sleepy when we visited recently. But I still enjoy the architecture and the space
