★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a fun place to visit, and a comfy place to stay a night.
For visiting, ice cream is yummy, spacious area is good to sit, to talk, to walk and to bike.
For staying, the wooden houses are clean, cozy, comfy, and welcoming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kind of a typical Taiwanese tourist place. The tacky usual with loads of local Taiwanese people. There is a tacky pond with some fish to feed and some shops around to buy some traditional aboriginal clothing. The gift shop had nothing interesting to buy but at least it had some normal snacks for you to pick up for the road trip. Can't really call it a destination, it's more of a rest stop. The ice cream was.....interesting. I got the moon light one which had yolk in it with vanilla and peanut pieces. I thought the yolk would be like a hardened yolk but no..it was actual runny raw yolk. Tip : let it stay on the ice cream and freeze before eating it. I did not get sick from that so that was surprising. ? Other Taiwanese flavor ice cream got raving reviews from my friends. Old timey taste. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tourist sugar factory ice cream is special here, although the taste is fair but it’s nice to try this ice cream together with the Taiwanese sausage from the vendors here. You can also stroll a bit in this area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There weren't much for us to do there. It's a nice pit stop for food, ice cream, and coffee; however, aside from that there wasn't much else. It gets 3 stars because the dessert and coffee wasn't bad. The kids fed the fish and bought some souvenirs, so that gave it a couple stars above 1.

Ice cream was delicious, some cool pictures to take with the old buildings and the train in front.
