★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's so cozy and u can feel like u are in the old place and the people in there is so friendly. Its so good because there is nearby church and temple here. And food u must try there ice cream it's so very delicious and affordable for almost 50nt u can try it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Hukuo Old Street is a historic village. Small but compact. Old but active. Preserve well. It is a good place to visit with a short stay of about two to three hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute area to visit. Lots of street vendors and little things to buy. A converted church is now a museum and the pizza place next to it has 1000 year old egg pizza. You can get some good stinky tofu as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an ancient street, so it has some interest but there are many like this one everywhere in Taiwan. Still, for me, this one is special thanks to the good condition of the street and buildings, thanks to the small but ancient Sanyuan temple, thanks to the convenient and free parking lot behind Sanyuan temple, and at last, because it's the start of various trails that can extend the visit by some exercise in the forest and bring you to the tea plantation above the city. So, it's worth the detour. Be aware that everything is quiet and closed in the morning, even for noon on weekdays.
