★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This point is almost the tip of the HuoYanShan standard trail loop. It is only 5 minutes away from HuoYan peak, which stands at an altitude of 602 meters. Getting here on foot can take 2-3 hours from Jianfeng Road, but it can be reached in 30-40 minutes from the nearby road. Don't expect shops or toilets, but the place seems common for resting or snacking as it's flat and in the shade.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite a nice day hike close to Taichung City. The trail is super nice and the landscape is completely sedimentary rocks, which is in contrast to the mountains more to the west that are all Igneous and Metamorphic rocks. The views from the top of the trail are awesome and you can see the water erosion that has taken place thousands of years ago!
