★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stumbled upon this place while I was in Xinhua city checking out the colonial Japanese district. It was just on one of the signboards for tourists. The park is a short drive from town and is a beautiful area. There's a little museum dedicated to crickets. One of the main features is the lake. Driving along the winding road new scenes reveal themselves at every bend. I went on a weekday and it was pretty quiet. But I can imagine hordes of seniors singing karaoke and barbequeing on the weekend. There is also an entrance fee and some feral dogs do roam around the campgrounds. But they are just curious/social, not at all hostile.
