IKEA Neihu Store

BE CAREFUL! I understand that this isn't IKEAS fault, but their is a police officer that tickets cars who sits in front of the parking lot. He pulls them out of IKEAS line and tickets them. If you don't line up, you won't get a ticket. It's actually illegal to turn left from the main road onto the road where IKEA's parking lot is located. However, they are ticketing EVERYBODY. The police officer who tickets you isn't even near the intersection. It's a small sting operation. There's another police officer who sits at the intersection that radios to his buddy who tickets the driver. That police officer sits right at the entrance of the parking lot to Ikea and looks like a private IKEA employee directing traffic. I was really confused as to why an Ikea employee was pulling me out of the line of cars waiting to park; only to discover that it was a real police officer in almost the same outfit. There is literally constantly a line of 3-4 cars getting ticketed. For that much trouble, they should put the police officer in the middle of the intersection directing people to go the correct direction or actually put a left turn light there. I'll pay the fine. That's not the problem. The problem is that the police are using IKEA's line to ticket people and the sheer amount of people getting tickets show that it's the intersections problem not the drivers. People aren't breaking the rules on purpose. If it's not Ikea's problem; then Ikea, tell the police officer to stop using your ammenities for their gain.

Navigating the store is extremely tedious; poorly designed customer flow with nonexistent signs. Ridiculous rules about how you have to go through 3rd floor first to get to the restaurant on the 2nd floor. Rude and unhelpful staff through out (esp. restaurant staff). Management obviously has no idea how to run a proper IKEA store with customer experience in mind. I've visited dozens of IKEA stores in different countries and this is definitely one of the worst.

Great food but dining space is just enough

As you know, IKEA food just like what we expected. Good, fast, and cheap. I even think the restaurant makes more money than the furniture store. The Neihu branch does special food, such as Lychee and Rose Ice Cream NT$20, T-bone steak NT$690 and shark shaped bun (limited) NT$35. Nice to come and try something different, especially the T-bone steak. It’s a good value for the big portion.

Furniture and appliances are fairly cheap, European style food is delicious and huge enough to go round hrs!

I visited this shop few weeks after the opening. It was in a perfect condition. Very clean, everything organized, everything brand new and a lot of available staff to talk if you need to purchase something big. Indication and signs are well put and you can't get lost. Everything is tidy. Toilets are clean. There is a big restaurant inside with all the food available at Ikea. I already like this new store!

My husband and I were shopping this past Saturday night and we had the most amazing IKEA experience! We have moved to Taipei from Sydney, Australia so needed to buy MANY items from IKEA and it went so smoothly! HUGE thanks to Daniel at the shipping and customer care department. He went above and beyond to make sure we received our bed and mattress the next day! He even helped me fix my online order that wouldn’t have arrived for a while and went to pick out the items they had in store that I needed from that order so I could purchase and take them with me that evening! It was incredible. Thank you so much Daniel and everyone at IKEA Neihu! Can’t wait to shop there again soon!!

Unfavorable Veggie Restaurant NTD 50 for ten florets of broccoli. At moment thought of a joke and quickly realized that was what paid for. A plate of reducing carbon emission assured myself that IKEA prefers customers buy more meat/ processed food to pay its own sustainable bills than they are self-regulated to mutually maintain ecosystem integrity
