★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昨天我們—群人按照觀光局網站的宣傳，一大早在火車站前等他們的旅遊專車，結果被放了鴿子，打電話問他們，不但要理不理的，且一問三不知，還教訓起來，等了兩個鐘頭等不到他們所謂的旅遊專車，迫不得已改變行程到新竹，離開令我們感到不恥的地方，大夥説，以後不要到苗栗了，希望望要到苗栗旅遊時要小心，尤其那些坐在辦公室吹冷氣的官員！
 Yesterday, we were grouped according to the publicity of the website of the Tourism Bureau. They were waiting for their tourist bus in front of the train station early in the morning. The result was that they had put the pigeons and called them to ask them not only to ignore them, but also to ask questions and teach them. When I waited for two hours, I couldn’t wait for the so-called tourist car. I had to change my itinerary to Hsinchu and leave the place that made us feel shameful. Everyone said, don’t go to Miaoli in the future, I hope to be careful when traveling to Miaoli. Especially those who are sitting in the office to blow the air!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 一九九九年在這裡看過假面藝術節，當時還叫文化中心。只記得有來自斯里蘭卡的藝術家當場雕作假面。
I saw the Mask Art Festival here in 1999, and it was also called the Cultural Center. I just remember that an artist from Sri Lanka carved a mask on the spot.
