★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We dropped in after coming down from elephant mountain hike sweaty and hungry. We were welcomed with the usual kindness and service that makes Taipei amazing but they also pretended to not notice how sweaty we were and kept the sashimi bar open as it was near 2 pm. Food was wonderful, lunch set price 1300 is outstandingly fresh and beautifully served. Arriving at 13:30 Monday meant that there was no line. Service is so gracious we didn’t want to leave !!! Definitely go again and again and again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grand Hyatt Taipei is a beautiful hotel as many other Grand Hyatt hotels are around the world . Therefore, I had high expectations about its Japanese buffet restaurant. Unfortunately, I was very much disappointed and I have to say the food was so average that it was no where close any of the other Grand Hyatt's restaurants. It was more like one of Holiday Inn's restaurants. Yes, it was true that the buffet was not that expensive, but still, that does not mean that you lower your standards of providing quality, tasty food that stands up to the reputation of the Grand Hyatt. We have been Hyatt members for quite a few years and really like it's hotels around the world. I would like to suggest the management of this Grand Hyatt seriously think about its reputation and how the mediocre food served at lower prices matches to its strategy and positioning?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The various crabs were not tasty because the meat lack the texture; taste like frozen crab and re-prepared. Sushi and sashimi quality is much better. BBQ section very tasty.
It is like most of other buffet in Taipei which includes reasonable amount of selection. Just the quality I expect of some foods is not up to there.
Coffee machine can dispense cappuccino, latte, but milk in the machine is cold; so I end up having a half warm coffee, which is very strange.
My friend need to make reservation and we are excited to enjoy the 5 star buffet from “Hyatt” so I am a bit disappointed.
Staff are friendly and very pleasant.
I have not tried too many other buffet in Taipei. But it’s ok food, and good environment for friends to meet and eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cuisines are quite fresh and nice, I won't say there are many choices, but I think the restaurant worth the price. Special thanks to the chefs near Udon noodles and grilled food stations, very friendly and full of sense of humor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very busy during lunch time on weekdays. Nice quality of sashimi, deep fried vegetables and shrimps, roasted fish and chicken. Not as many items as other all you can eat restaurants.
