Ivy-Way Academy

I love my Christmas intensive course. We had lessons all day, but Jody did a great job in making our classes productive yet fun. I improved so much in just 2 weeks!!

I took about 6 months of SAT with Ivy-Way (6 weeks for the summer course followed by 4.5 months of online tutoring), and I ended up with 1560 (ERW 760 / Math 800) this October. I can confidently say that the grammar and reading strategies really worked for me. THANK YOU!!

Our teacher and TA are excellent! They cared A LOT about each one of us, and they were able to tailor each lesson to our needs even though it's a group course. We had a lot of homework and vocabulary to do everyday, but the targeted practices were really helpful for the SAT. I will recommend this course to my classmates at Kang Chiao and everyone who wants to get a high SAT score!

I attended the 6 week SAT class in Hsinchu in the summer of 2018 and it was 100% worth my time. Not only was my teacher himself highly educated, he was very talented in teaching. Although six weeks isn't a lot of time, the class was structured so that it moves at the pace of the students. Before the class started, we were all required to take a diagnostic class so that we are put in groups with students that are in the same skill level. I found this really helpful because this allows the optimum learning quality as each group moves at different optimum paces. This course also taught me many testing tip including tips to answer specific reading, writing, and math questions. Looking back, these testing tips helped tremendously and gave a huge boost to my score. We are also provided many feedback on our essay which I found really helpful to my improvement. In addition, we are also able to have individual conferences with the teacher to bring up our individual concerns. Education aside, the class was also really fun. We are able to have fun and work hard at the same time!

I took Ivy-Way's summer SAT course in Hsinchu last year and it was the BEST course I've ever taken. Our teacher (Sam) taught us strategies that helped us tackle SAT questions effectively and accurately. In addition, he truly cared about each one of us and gave us additional practices, readings, and assignments to solidify our English ability. The all-day schedule allowed us to work on homework as a group and receive help from the TA, and these were extremely crucial to make sure we could internalize the concepts we learned that day. I raised my score from 1380 to 1570 throughout the course, and I scored 1580 (R: 780 M: 800) on the 2019 October test. As an added bonus, the reading and writing strategies that Sam went over in class made AP Lang and AP Langa lot easier!

This summer SAT class helped me understand and got me more comfortable with the test in addition to reminded of my errors and mistakes. The lessons adjusted my thinking processes and testing tactics. With the given vocabulary booklet, I managed to learn new words and prepared myself for more information.

I just finished my SAT summer class at Ivy-Way. Even though the classes were conducted online, our teacher (Rice) still made the class engaging and fun. We learned so much over the past 4 weeks especially in grammar and math, and I improved a total of 310 points throughout the class. This was very different from the other SAT course I took last year, in which my scores barely changed at all.

I definitely recommend anyone to sign up for Ivy-Way's SAT class. I got my 2021 October SAT score back a few days ago, in which I scored 1560 (English 760, Math 800). I'm very satisfied with the outcome!!!
