此為自然生態、歷史人文及建築文化的『輕鬆走』路線，導覽大安森林公園及其周邊生活地景的知性遊程，名額有限，額滿為止，歡迎踴躍報名參加。
※ 路線--大安森林公園(大生態池、小生態池、活水飛輪)→天堂路(聖家堂、台北清真寺)→慢步青田街→獨立書店『欒樹下書房』

Best National forest in Taiwan

G	Giel Luichjes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (The Area is partly under reconstruction during the visit!) The Forrest Recreation Area is nicely laid out and all explanations are done in English and Mandarin, making it quite accessible. Do not expect to go on a big trail, but once in the Area, it feels like a modest jungle trail. Saw quite some animals as well. Unfortunately, two of the three trails were under maintenance during the visit making the choice where to go quite limited. There are manny resting areas (many ants come for free everywhere you sit), the inside exposition space is fairly small and non functioning. The bus takes you direct from Taitung Bus Station (the old station); quite convenient and only 50 minutes drive.

E	Ed Hides on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic place to visit if you are near Titung. We spent a few hours exploring and loved every minute. The grounds and gardens are very well maintained and we saw lots of wildlife including monkeys and small dear. Plenty of shaded areas to cool off too. The steps to the top were challenging but worth it. Also we took the more gentle path back down under the cover of the trees.
S	Stephanie Broughton on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet place for a nice forest walk up the mountain. Take the Forest/Jasmine trails to avoid climbing the stairs all the way up. I forget how long it took, but I think I spent about 2 hours in the park, and I took my time. Remember to wear insect repellent so you can stop in one of the shelters along the trail and watch the monkeys in the trees. Also saw some muntjacs along the way. Regular admission is 100NT, and there’s a bicycle parking area at the entrance. Signage is only in Chinese, but English brochures are available at the ticketing kiosk. Friendly staff. Bring snacks.
J	Janet Amor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good place for a simple hike. You would have to pay for the entrance — which is understandable because they try to maintain the place. There’s a large variety of trees around and some good view while walking along the trail. There are different trails to choose from (we chose the longest one).
R	Rachel Ng on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ World class forest park with amazing, monstrous thousand-year old Banyan trees and subtropical plants. The toilets and footpaths are well maintained and clean, with clear signages. We especially liked the sound pipes towards the end of the trail. I reckon this should be a UNESCO world heritage site.
G	Gino Lien on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my first time being here and I’m already in love with this forest recreation area. There are some trails that you can hike inside the area, one of my favorite is the Forest Bath. The sign tells that the whole trail was all handmade which is really special and was in order to live with the nature without bothering the mountain. I love the idea so much.
