Possibly the best vegetarian store around Longshan Temple. Large and healthy portions at very wallet-friendly prices and you can even pick your own vegetable side dishes.

The best vegetarian food I had in Taipei and I appreciate its location near Longshan Temple. Highly recommend trying the wontons and people watching while you eat.

So, if you're looking for a n authentic vegetarian food, head here. Our inquiry for the best dry noodles they've got resulted with two bowls of simple , delicious and cheap food. Two separate dishes cost 70元，and they were just perfect size. No staring at foreigners, but helpful and nice staff who spoke very clear and understandable Chinese. Not sure how well they would've done with English, but the menu is on the wall so just pointing would do. You order as you go in, sit down, eat, and pay as you leave. The chopsticks and spices are at the counter.

You can order from off the menu written on strips of paper on the wall or ask the boss lady in Taiwanese like I did as I didn't read Chinese and my Mandarin wasn't that good. None of them spoke English. She explained the five, precooked items I saw in front of me were sold at NT20 per cup-sized bowls and/or I can order freshly made noodle soups. Pointing to premade items was much easier than having her explain what were available to order. And saying I'll have the fresh greens soup that another patron had ordered worked for me, as well. I ended up getting stewed fried-tofu, gluten faux meat, and chopped mustard greens to go with a bowl of steamed white rice (without faux, stewed meat topping which costs extra, I'm sure) and the fresh greens soup. It was satisfying and I had some leftover for later. The total for all five items was only NT105.

Out standing! The veg version ducks blood isnt common and was delicious, I got it with toon. I'll be back for that! Rockstar dish!

Delicious local vegetarian food. Loved the toon sauce dry noodles (xiang chun gan mian 香椿乾麵)! The tofu dishes and stir fried veggies were also great. Very homey!
