Many local trains, either southbound or northbound, terminate here, so it is usually crowded with mass of passengers. There is a roundabout at the front for picking up visitors and the bus station of the city is right at the rear of the station, and it is easy to transit from the station. This train station has nice route and fair public facility though looking old. It has been a landmark here in Chiayi!
