★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting climb up to the ruins of an old shrine. Was practically empty the time we went but the stairs may be a little difficult as many are uneven and steep.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The day I went there was extremely foggy, but it makes this place more mysterious and sacred, even a little creepy.
It was good cuz very few people were here at around 5pm.
A basic fitness to climb up here is required.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's locates higer than the museum and takes 15 minutes to climbing up to the shrine (you may also keep climbing up further to tea pot mt. as well). The view from the shrine is superb and really worth to climb up! Personally suggest to visit here in the evening for sunset view and avoid a sun beam during the day ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a steep climb from the New Taipei City Government Gold Museum, it’s possible to reach the Jinguashi Shinto Shrine, with scenic lookouts on the surrounding area.
The Jinguashi Shinto Shrine was found in 1898 enshrining three gods in Shinto religion. On 1936 Taiwan Mining Corp paid to reconstruct the shrine. On 2007 the shrine was designated as one of the city-wide historical sites in New Taipei City due to its heritage value.
Since the war most of the buildings of the shrine were destroyed. Two torii, couple of stone lanterns, stone pillars and base of the main hall were left.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This old shrine takes about 30 minutes to hike up from 黃金博物館. The stairs to the shrine is pretty well maintained so the level of difficulty is moderate with some steep staircases. This photo spot is fantastic overlooking the shore ocean line. If you are adventurous enough you can continue up the hiking trail to the 無敵海景 步道. Your effort will be greatly rewarded. Highly recommended for all travellers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The stone stairs are damaged, steep and brutal. I went up wearing my pair of convelse while others are in hiking shoes. Going down was worse especially when your legs feel like jelly so do consider having a long rest before heading down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The stairs are a little bit difficult but still acceptable. U must climb a little bit for the shrine. Once u reach this point, u may enjoy the mountains view. It’s worth taking a look here.
U can get off at 黃金博物館, and then follow the instructions or ask the help desk for visiting this fantastic place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very good place to relax after a tough stairclimb. Even if it is around 20 minute climb, the view is worth all the sweat, cuss words (for being sooo steep), and tired feeling because you will be mesmerized with a great view of the mountains at the top.
