★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you come frome east asia, like japan korea china. You can be little bit dissapointed with the temple. Because it doesn't look special. But this temple has great view too. You should come. But if you are from other contries. You will like both.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The road uphill is a bit tiring for walking... Especially under the hot sun. The view is fabulous though. I should have come up at night also. The shrine is not that much of historical value but its remarkable that it was a Japanese shinto shrine but now is worshiping those who fought against the Japanese invaders in WWII. Good for everyone to have a brief history lesson.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you wish to savour the view of the harbour city of Kaohsiung from above, then I warmly recommend going here. I braved the steep hill with my bicycle, climbing all the way up. It is truly a stunning view from here. There is also an elevated platform you can ascend for taking selfies and such. In case you are cycling up, then you can also look forward to a fun fast trip down to the city again afterwards.

I would really recommend everyone to go in the night to see the amazing lights from skyscrapers and from PIER 2 ART CENTER.
It's REALLY beautiful and an awe9sme place for couples to spend some quality time.
The best part is that you will feel Mother Nature from the top of the stage set up there; you will forget everything, and you will feel like ur soul is not with you.
