Bizarre and very empty “museum”. The largest and most well-maintained area was the gift shop. The third floor was pretty much empty except for some broken swings and a sad and paid play-area. The second floor had some information on the wall about bubble tea, but nothing you can’t find on Wikipedia. The attractions on the second floor weren’t even staffed on a Saturday afternoon. Of course, the first floor with the gift shop was bustling. Weird place, wouldn’t go back or recommend anyone spend their time here. If you want to learn how to make bubble tea, go to your local 50Lan and ask them how they do it. You’ll get more information and won’t have to come all the way here!

The milk tea is just ok. Nothing special. The lunch Manu was poor and the quality is buffet was not impressive. It’s the place that I won’t visit again.

Nice place to visit for an informative background of the birth of the “珍珠” in奶茶, and the evolution since the Qing Dynasty. The DIY is a must for $230NT per person, the self made bubble tea is nice. Only disappointment is the "light bulb" glass bottle cannot be bought, but only given free for every $1000NT purchase.

A interesting culture center about Pearl Milk Tea history and cultures in Taiwan. Suitable for both adults and kids. There is a DIY class about Pearl milk tea making.

It's very great place to learn about worlds famous Bubble Milk Tea. My kids even took part at Bubble Milk Tea DIY. They were so happy. You will learn about Tapioca and different ingredients to make bubble milk tea and not only. Also There's great cafe there and you may choose any kind of pearls(tapioca) in your drink (there are even fruit ones and no sugar). So it's absolutely worth a visit place in Yilan. Personnel is very professional and friendly.

Create your own Bubble Milk Tea Although it has been widely found in Indonesia, but who would have thought this drink is a traditional recipe from Taiwan. In the Yilan area, there is a place that tells the origin of the drink. At the same time provide an opportunity to make it yourself. This drink was popular around 1980. The taste is unique and tea drinks that are easily accepted in the community make it increasingly in demand. Then around 1990 a company engaged in the culinary field, Taipei Shang Dao Food International began marketing it throughout the world. Now the drink is already in 30 countries. Covering Asia, Europe and America Asutralia. Drinks made from tapioca flour, milk and tea have never been timeless to the present day. Uniquely, the company made a milk tea boba information center. At the same time providing workshop classes for those who are interested in making pearl beads. There are two classes that can be attended. First make boba milk tea. Boba has been provided in the finished form. Participants just mix it with milk tea. Apparently not arbitrary, the dose must be right. Freshly brewed milk and tea are mixed. Then add sugar according to taste. Then the mixture is shaken as hard as possible until foam appears. Well this is the origin of bubble milk tea originated. Then added with boba. Now the second class specifically makes boba. The basic ingredients are only tapioca flour. Then mixed with water until smooth. Then formed small round. After finishing, the flour is boiled and mixed with sugar. Now boba increasingly varied, can be added to a variety of fruit flavored syrup. Usually only use brown sugar so that the color can be black.

If you crave for a decent bubble mile tea, this is NOT the place you are looking for. Mediocre taste, long time waiting (our order got skipped, several numbers after us got served before mine), and unfriendly staff. The tour was nice though, worth it the 2 stars.

Lovely place to have a peaceful walk and learn about Bubble Tea history (a very specific brand) of the bubble tea. I was amazing by the number of the different types of bubble teas. For me Oolong with fresh milk, half sugar and regular ice is the best?
