★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For the asking price of the tickets, it was an enjoyable two plus hours at Kuo Yuan Ye museum. We participated in the activity for making pineapple cakes, and while the instructions were mostly in Chinese, the staff made an effort to use English for foreigners. The staff explained that the cakes will taste more like biscuits on the first day but by the second day will come to taste more like cakes. You get to bake 10 pieces of the cakes, and also have complementary tea with other pastries. You can also buy their pastry at discount with the ticket, if you are planning to buy Kuo Yuan Ye cakes or are not particular about buying other brand of pineapple cakes (e.g. Chia Te).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really fun pineapple cake making class. You make 10 cakes and eat one there, packing up 9 in individual wrapping papers in a tray and box to take to go. While your cakes are baking, they give you a walk through the museum with English and Mandarin. Once you go back downstairs, there’s a super cute candlelit tea and Chinese cookie setup for you. You also get a 50NT credit with each person in your party that can be combined to make any purchase at their store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best museums, you have the experience of banking your own pineapple cakes! While waiting to be ready you can go two the next floor to watch some history information, that area is very tiny but is fun if you go in a group. After that you go back to the kitchen and they give you tea and some cookies to have a good time before packing your cakes. I really liked this experience, Price approx 350 nts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fun place to learn how to make pineapple cakes from scratch. Teachers were nice and provided easy to follow instructions. The pineapple cakes turned out as delicious as expected and it was fun to learn how to properly package them. The museum was also generous enough to provide extra snacks and tea to learn about Taiwanese tea culture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really fun experience at a great price. $350NTD to make your own pineapple cake. We made 10, ate 1, and ended up with a box of 9 to take home. Ticket to museum/and the class also doubles as a $50NTD off coupon for their cookies/goods. Highly recommend this activity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kuo Yuan Ye Museum of Cake （ 郭元益糕餅博物館） has the cakes, the history of cake museum and workshop.
The workshop is suitable for family to join. It teaches by Mandarin, but there are few helpers to help if you can't catch up the process, so you don't have to worry. The staffs are very friendly.
The Asia traditional Pineapple cake is famous in Taiwan, and it has a long history of it.
During workshop, you will learn how to make the cake step by step, and you will have a chance to decorate your own cake. Then at last , you can enjoy your food. It's a very fun and interesting experience.
