Simple experience with Hotspring room for 270 NTD, all the necessary equipment to enjoy the manmade hotspring is available. However equipment was slightly on the old side.

This hot spring hotel is, overall, a quiet, slightly aged establishment. Its facilities—at least in my room—are generally clean, though they do look like they have remained unchanged for some time, and show the inevitable signs of water damage and dampness that comes from proximity and access to hot spring water. Do note that instructions/rules regarding the use of hot spring waters, etc. in the hotel are all in traditional Chinese; no English translations available. Probably not ideal for mobility-challenged individuals. Access to lower and higher floors are all via stairs (so avoid cumbersome luggage). If necessary, and rooms are available, staff will put guests with bulky baggage in ground floor rooms, but even these require guests to cross one or two short 2+ step stairs. Also, breakfast is served in a dining area one flight of steps down from the lobby, so do take that into consideration. They do offer breakfast for overnight guests; however, patrons do not have much choice on what’s on the plate. One could probably ask for more/less of something that’s already part of the breakfast plate, but requests need to be placed in advance. I’ve included a photo of the breakfast plate for reference. The ham shown is pork. What patrons can choose is their beverage—the hotel offers three choices; milk, red tea, and water, I think. There was no coffee in sight. Baby seats are available upon request (I spied two tucked away in a corner when I was there). Kyoto Spring Hotel does not offer pick-up/shuttle services to and from the hotel, so access is by walking/cabbing/private car hire only. This establishment’s best feature are the staff. Staff here are very thoughtful, helpful and professional. Check-in is from 8pm onwards. And guests must check-out by 12pm. I only stayed for one night.

We came here for a private room to soak inside the hot spring. Cost us about 1000 TWD for 2 hrs. Huge cavernous bath tubs just for soaking and the water smells of sulphur. One helr is more than enough coz I couldn't soak in more than few mins at a stretch but good to rest inside the room after it.

Clean and affordable, this place is slightly off the main path so it's not as crowded. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and managed to get a couple room with an ensuite at NTD720 for an hour. The room, while basic, comes with aircon, hair dryer and a TV. The package also included face and bath towels, shower gel and mineral water for two.

I can't really comment on this hotel as I didn’t stay there but we did have an interesting day spa experience. For 400NTD - which is super cheap - we got a private bathroom with an onsen bath. Given how close Beitou is to Taipei, this was a nice way to experience the hot springs without actually staying in one of the hotels.

I love this small cosy hot spring hotel becuase of polite and friendly staff, free parking, convenient location, cleanness in the rooms, and you can rent a room for 1 hour only with family so you dont need to stay overnight. Just get there, take a great hot spring bath with kids and go home. Whats more, it relatively cheap. And the Bath in the room is big and wide.

Came here for a 1-hour hot tub, with shower. NT720. It was a decent place. Clean room and shower. Spring water was hot, with the milky colour to be expected. Towels, shampoo and shower gel provided. There was also a TV, electric kettle, cups and hairdryer. There was a window, but not much of a view. You could just see the next building across the road. Reception staff was efficient.

It was a wonderful hotel we paid about $90 US for the night. It was totally worth it we had a bedroom with all the amenities including the toothbrush toothpaste towels and our own private soaking tub. The tub fills with spring water you can adjust the temperature and it is a huge tub plenty of room to fit two or three people.
