★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a to-go order of beef noodle back to my hostel and share with my friends. We ALL LOVE it, this is the best beef noodle we had! The meal is easy, they don't have much choice but that's all the good food they have!!! I will go again for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Try both clear soup and the saucy soup! Not your everyday beef noodle taste. Has more dimensions in the flavor. I also like that it isn't as sugary as the avg Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Bc it's outside, I can also bring my dog. Employees are very efficient and honest people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place disrespects people that they see as foreigners. How you may ask? Well 2 mandarin speaking males came to this establishment and ordered after my group of 5 did. They ordered 2 bowls of noodles and a side plate of food whereas we ordered a bowl of noodles for each person (totaling 5 bowls).
They got their food first but did they order first? No they did not. Preferential treatment such as this leaves a bad taste in my mouth, such that the watery beef noodle soup wasn't sufficient to wash the taste away.
I would recommend you skip this place if you are a foreigner that is short on time, they will push your order behind mandarin speaking folk's orders.

Though the bowls and chopsticks are clean would be a big plus if they can change them as they are a little used.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately, how a beef noodles tastes depend on specific adaptation to the smell and taste of spice used. As a foreigner, it was not the usual heavy broth or bad smelling one but a light soup base (commented by a few). The braised beef were great cuts and noodles were chewy as deserved. Overall on-point for usual beef noodles except the preference on broth style. For those unable to withstand the street food style/environment/smell in Taiwan, this location is then not suitable for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really like the atmosphere of these noodle joints in old district alleyways. I got the house special which includes beef, cartilage, and stomach with wide noodles in braised soup base. The noodles were nicely chewy, the soup base is on the light savory side and main ingredients were subtle in flavor. If you prefer heavier flavors you can go elsewhere but for those that prefer this style the place had lots of local character. The service was quite friendly too.
