★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Homemade gelatos and desserts with a rotating menu. This place is the real deal. This is probably the best ice cream/gelato in Taichung (yes, better than Miyahara) and it's worth the trip. The investment in top-quality ingredients is obvious – the gelato doesn't leave the waxy aftertaste you might expect with cheap versions – and the flavors I tried – rum raisin, hazelnut, sesame, and tiramisu – were all delicious. The hazelnut and sesame were particular favorites as they accentuated the roasty/nutty creaminess without being too sweet. Pastries were also very good. The mango mousse cake was our favorite, which I guess shouldn't be a surprise! (Disclaimer: We went here because it's owned by relatives of my wife, but I'm not exaggerating. This is a special place.)
