Even though I didn't get to see everything, I saw a good amount thanks to the guidance of the kind gentleman on staff. Thank you again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super beautiful scenery, even if it’s foggy. Not a top priority for a tourist, but if you’ve been to Taipei and seen all the main spots, it can be a nice day trip.
You won’t be able to easily take uber to or from here though. It’s quite remote and up a mountain. Some roads are restricted to government vehicles only.
You’ll have to take a bus from Shillin station S15. It’s a long ride too. Almost 2 hours one way with traffic. A lot of times, standing room only too.
Don’t just stay at the visitor center either. Absolutely walk along the paths, explore the waterfalls, suspension bridge, and other sights there.
When finished there’s a gift shop and restaurant where you can grab a bite.
Wear good shoes for hiking too. The paths can be a bit wet and muddy. Not for city lovers either. Basically just walking around the Taiwanese forest. Can be a good break from busy Taipei.
