★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 蓮池潭（れんちたん Liánchí tán）は、台湾高雄市左営区にある広さ約42haの池です。
または、この池を中心とする蓮池潭風景区のことを表します。
かつて蓮池潭は72haの広さがあったが、孔子廟や環潭道路の建設のために埋め立てられ現在では42ha（南北約1.3km、東西約0.4km）まで狭くなっています。
清朝時代の1686年に孔子廟を建立する際、池を廟宇の泮水として蓮を植えたため、「蓮池潭」と呼ばれるようになったとされる。
また、満開の蓮の花が匂い香ることに因み「泮水荷香」と謳われ、清朝時代には鳳山八景の一つに数えられていたそうです。
Renchitan Liánchí tán is a 42ha pond located in the Zhaoing District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Or, it means the lotus pond scenic area centered on this pond.
Hasuiketan used to be 72ha in size, but it was reclaimed for the construction of the Confucian Temple and Ringtan Road and is now 42ha (1.3km north-south, 0.4km east-west).
It is said that when the Confucius Temple was built in 1686 during the Qing Dynasty, the lotus was planted in the pond as the water for the temple and it became known as the "Hasuiketan."
In addition, it is said to be "Musui Kagara" due to the smell of the blooming lotus flower, and it was said to have been counted as one of the eight scenic spots in the Qing Dynasty.
