Lin Mao Sen Tea Co.

Conveniently located next to Lin Hua Tai. This place has a wider variety of tea's but is a bit more pricey than their next door neighbour. Staff is super helpful, they don't want to sell you stuff they want to help you find your favourite.

We had a really nice experience when we visited the tea store in Taipei couple years ago. Recently we purchased a bunch of tea from Lin Mao Sen online. The whole process was very smooth, the payment method was secure, and the communication with Charles was great. Our shipment arrived in less than a week and in good condition. We are not tea experts but we love the fragrance and the lingering after-taste of all their teas! Also, even with the international shipping fee, the pricing is unbeatable compared to what we could get in the States. We are very happy with the purchase, will definitely come back.

My new favorite tea store in Taipei. I stopped by their competitor tea shop just down the street last year and I prefer this shop over the other. Don't get me wrong, the two shops, which were once owned by two brothers that apparently had a difference of opinion, are still great places to buy tea. There are many different teas and at different price points available, with the 600 gm price on the tea barrel. Both shops have English speaking staff, but this shop has better customer service. The other shop was more of a place where you're asked what tea do you want, while this place was more let us show you the teas that we have, answer any questions about the tea, and are more than willing to offer you a freshly brewed sample of a tea you are interested in buying. Instructions were also offered on how to brew the tea, as well as an email address if you have any questions. They also were willing to ship tea overseas via a request by email. I'll be back.

Very friendly and will educate you on the different types of tea. Shopkeeper speaks English and Japanese well. Highly recommended!

Most wonderful tea shop, with plenty of varieties and quality that can be bought by weight. It also sells teaware and tea boxes.

Awesome place, bought a lot of tea. You are allowed to taste one type of tea for free. In my case there was always one person who spoke English and helped you with choosing and explained the different teas they have. Be aware that the minimum amount you need to buy is 150 grams. Definitely visit it if you're a tea lover and bring the delicious tea back home!

It might look expensive but each price is per 600g, with the minimum purchase of 150g of any tea. They allow you to only try (a small amount) of one tea. The staff seem to speak a variety of languages. They have some teas they claim that other places don't have, like real Tieguanyin. I'm not tea expert so can't vouch for the validity of these statements! Tea comes in plastic bags, so if you're looking for tea as a gift, you might want to purchase from elsewhere (although they do sell presentation tins here).
