★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tonghua night is a moderate size night market full of delicious food. Chicken ball with powder and garlic is great. There are also dumplings side restaurant with sour SaeChuan soup which is pretty good. The pork bun with sweet grinded nuts are marvelous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think all night markets are similar in that they depend on your attitude. The food here is good and there are a lot of people. The stall owners are sometimes nice and sometimes if you lounge around, take photos and don't buy anything are mean if you understand Chinese. It's worth it to go here and the other night markets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this night market twice. It's a good location because it's within walking distance of Taipei 101 so you can definitely visit two sites in one night. I loved the many different stalls of food amd dried goods. Best for shopping for gifts (pasalubong in Filipino). Stuff here is relatively cheaper than in other tourist sites. Don't forget to sample the street food. Stinky tofu, Taiwanese sausage, and fried mushrooms are must-trys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This night market was much better than Ning Xia. It's more of a open layout where as Ning Xia is set up so that you are fine between the vendors and it is crowded.
Not only is Lin Jiang bigger, there was enough elbow room as well as entertaining little booths that included day throwing, BB gun shooting, and prize toy booths with the claw.
You can find your regular variety of night market food here. The venders aren't too pushy. They call it to you as most do. Even me with my broken Mandarin got by. We ended up getting the torched beef cubes and a friend cheese snack. I suggest skipping on the fried cheese. It was just like a big mozzarella cheese stick. For the torched beef cubes I suggest getting the rose salt. There are plenty of stores and venders in the area to include a convenience store. Enjoy your walk through there and bring your appetite

Good variety of food. My favorite is the shwarma/kebab, or you could get a 炸雞排 (fried chicken cutlet). There's a couple of good Vietnamese restaurants there too.
